Lucie Gholam, born in 1999 to a French-Lebanese family, has always been drawn to exploring the intersection of her dual heritage. After earning her degree in spatial design from l’École Boulle in Paris in 2019, she pursued further studies at Aalto University and graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2023.

Her background continuously fuels her quest for identity, both as a designer and as an individual. For Lucie, design is a playground for experimentation—a space where she can explore her surroundings and engage with a wide range of materials, from wood and metal to glass, hempcrete, and ceramics. By weaving together diverse techniques, she embarks on a journey of personal discovery while also addressing broader, pressing issues.

Her work pushes the boundaries of material properties and the roles objects and spaces play in our lives. With a strong focus on sustainability, she is committed to working with innovative, circular materials and enhancing the potential of what already exists. Influenced by architecture, sculpture, pop culture, queer and feminist theory, and her French and Lebanese roots, Lucie loves to challenge archetypes and bring fresh perspectives to her creative process.
