Lucie Gholam is a French-Lebanese designer-maker based in Paris. After graduating in Spatial Design from École Boulle in Paris in 2019, she pursued her studies at Aalto University before completing her degree at Design Academy Eindhoven in 2023.

Her work revolves around the concept of “hyper-ruin”: a reflection on the transformation of materials, the disappearance of buildings, and the traces of collective memory embedded in objects.

She combines personal research with explorations of contemporary issues, questioning both the value of materials and our emotional attachment to objects and spaces. Her practice is oriented towards the use of more circular materials and the revalorization of what already exists.

Lucie Gholam’s work plays with archetypes, drawing inspiration from architecture, sculpture, pop culture, queer and feminist theories, as well as her French and Lebanese heritage.
